Double Breasted to Little Ragged

We spent a nice couple of days at Double Breasted Cay.  Met some nice folks.

Rita on "Como No", took some time to teach me Bahamian Weaving.  You use silver palm fronds to weave.  I just made a small item to learn from, but will try bigger projects later.

We left Double Breasted and moved down to Little Ragged Island for some upcoming weather.

Went on a nice snorkeling trip.

Nice structures

Little fish in the coral

Large school of Blue Tangs

Nice corals

Brain Coral

Nice purple fan

Atlantic Trigger Fish

Also went for nice beach walk, with Rita off of "Como No"

Here at Little Ragged the cruisers (12 boats) all get together on the beach in the evening for sundown snacks and drinks.  Usually after sundown we all head back to the boats for dinner.   One evening we had a nice beach BBQ, where everyone brought their own meat, and a side dish to share.   Fun times, lots of nice folks.
Beach BBQ time

Had a nice calm day, and went for a kayak trip.  When the water is calm, it is so clear you can look down and see lots of stuff.  Almost as good as snorkeling.

Nice large starfish

Nice area to kayak around

Disturbed this nice big ray when kayaked over him.

Our friends on "Sojourn" had a excellent lobster catching day, and were kind enough to give us two.  Kris was happy, it was quite tasty.

Cutting through the shell after cooking

Will have strong winds for the next few days, so mostly just hanging out on the boat.
