Deans hair was getting a bit long - so a haircut was in order.
Who is that bushy haired guy |
Looks so handsome |
Took a walk into the local dump to drop off garbage with Sojourn and Sea Seeker. Walked a bit more to airport and back just for exercise.
Walking with our trash, looking for a good spot to throw it.
Stopped at the shore to look at the boat the Haitians had travelled in. The paper said that there were 94 people on this boat. Hard to believe.
Dean counted 60 people, Paper said 94 people on this 30'? boat |
Happy hour on beach - as usual. Nice sunset - but no green flash, too many clouds.
Happy hour sunset |
Went in for nice happy hour at hut on Hog Cay. (Will take photo of hut later - keep forgetting).
Lots of these little crabs in the hut - they do a good job cleaning up any food spills from us visitors |
We went for a nice walk, we knew part of the trail, as we had done it last year. Some parts of the trail are easy walking, some not so much.
Rugged but beautiful coastline |
Kris walking some of the rougher section of trail |
Always interesting to see what trash has washed up on shore and been used for trail markers |
The Bahama island are made up of old shells, coral and sediment. You can see the process still in work looking at the ground and visually seeing shell and coral breaking down and blending in. |
Beautiful clear water and colors |
Disturbed a group of goats relaxing in the shade |
Next day just relaxed on boat, did laundry. Went in for happy hour, and then a treat - over to Sojourn for dinner, with Jerry and Donna of Bluejacket. Had yummy lasagna, and played cards.
Duane, Karen (Sojourn) and Donna and Jerry (Bluejacket) |
Went with Sojourn for a nice long walk next day.
Love the trail markers cruisers come up with. This one literally marks a fork in the trail |
Nice cactus on the walk, - don't stray off the patch, little cactus just wait for your unsuspecting foot. |
Don't know who built the long rock wall - most likely slaves in colonial times |
On the rugged coastline "trail" |
Nice anchorage on a cloudy day - Charm all alone - other boats further north. |
Went for another nice snorkel with Sojourn - Duane and Karen are pro lobster hunters. They kindly gave us two lobster to eat when Derek comes for a visit.
Snorkeling along |
Always fun to watch the little fishes |
Karen, with one of the three lobster of the day. |
We will hang out here a few more days and then ?? So nice to not have a schedule.
Looks like just another week in paradise!!! A good time was had by all!
