Kris's farewell tour

Kris is officially retired.  WooHoo.

Dean made the long drive from North Carolina to Boise to pick her up, and do a farewell tour.  Left Boise on 2/6/2021 to visit family in Bend, Oregon and  then to Seeley Lake, Montana to see friends. Enjoyed the 3 feet of snow and lovely -15 degree weather.

Then on to Billings, Montana for more friends and snow with a bracing -22 degrees with wind.  A final stop in St. Paul Minnesota to see family and enjoy a nice -6 degrees.  From there to Morehead City North Carolina via a Google maps inspired 3 hour detour due to road closures due to snow and ice storms along the route.

Arrived to Morehead City, to pleasant 70 degree weather inland, but only 62 degrees at the boat home.

Our theme song for the week:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBN86y30Ufc

Got in around 2:00 in the afternoon, and unloaded the van, which was packed with clothes, kitchen items, linens and groceries carried from Boise.  The only issue was a block of Tillamook cheddar cheese, which must have been right by the car heater vent, as it was melted into a blob of yellow goo.  Other than that, everything else made it, including the 6 new blocks of cheese purchased in Oregon.

Now we get to find spots for all our stuff and make it home.  Probably brought too much, but there is a Goodwill to donate the extras if needed.
